Common questions
What does Class 2 mean?
Class 2 is moderate compression at 23ā32 mmHg. Itās graduated compression: tightest at the ankle and gradually less tight as it goes up the leg.
Knee length or thigh length?
Choose by where the issue is. If itās at or below the knee, go for knee length: itās easier to put on and cooler in summer. If it goes above the knee, go for thigh length: it covers the thigh too and has a silicone grip top to keep it up. If your doctor has advised a length, follow that.
How do I find my size?
Measure your ankle and calf in the morning (and your thigh for thigh length). Enter them in Find my size near the size buttons, or check the size chart. Between sizes? Go by your largest measurement.
Is this one stocking or a pair?
A pair: one stocking for each leg.
Is it open toe or closed toe?
Open toe. It keeps the front of your foot cooler and works with the Sorgen Glider, which makes them easier to put on.
Does it come with a glider?
Yes. Every box comes with a free Sorgen Glider, a wearing aid that helps the stocking slide on over your foot and heel.
When should I wear them?
Put them on when you get up and take them off at bedtime. Don't sleep in them unless your doctor tells you to.
They feel very tight. Is that normal?
Yes. Class 2 feels firm at first, most of all around the ankle. That's the compression at work. Put them on in the morning, turn the stocking inside out down to the heel, slip your foot in and ease it up bit by bit. Don't pull from the top band. Use the free Glider that comes in the box. Still struggling? WhatsApp us on 93211 02110 and we'll walk you through it.
Will they feel hot in summer?
The microfiber is breathable and wicks away sweat, so itās comfortable in humid weather.
How do I wash them, and how long do they last?
Hand wash in lukewarm water with mild soap, donāt wring, and dry flat in the shade. With daily wear, a pair lasts 4ā6 months. After that, the efficacy of the compression starts to reduce, so itās time for a new pair. Many people keep two pairs, so they can wear one while the other is in the wash.
Is it the same for men and women?
Yes. Sorgen stockings are unisex. Choose by your measurements.
