Dev Chaudhary – 150 Kilometers of Passion Every Week

Dev Chaudhary – 150 Kilometers of Passion Every Week

It was a quiet morning. The roads lay empty, and the city was still asleep. But one man was out there — running. Calm strides, deep breaths, and a sharp focus in his eyes. No audience. No applause. Just pure dedication. That’s how his story begins — not with a finish line, but with a choice to show up. This is the story of Dev Chaudhary, a runner who’s been chasing more than just time — he's chasing purpose.

It All Started with a Glimpse of Grit

10 years ago, Dev saw something that stayed with him: a police officer and an everyday man running side by side. Something about that image sparked something within him — the discipline, the commitment, the unity. That moment ignited his own journey, and from that day forward, he started lacing up.

150 Kilometers a Week — Not an Accident, But a Lifestyle

Dev’s weekly training is not for the faint-hearted. He clocks in 140–150 kilometers of running every week, paired with strength training, gym workouts, cross-training, core sessions — and perhaps most importantly, meditation. That last piece is his secret weapon. For Dev, mental strength matters just as much as physical conditioning.

"If I rest too much, others will pull ahead"

Challenges? Of course. But Dev’s mindset is what sets him apart. Fatigue, soreness, rainy days, lonely training runs — none of them have broken his consistency. He’s fueled by a clear belief: "I want to give my best in every upcoming race. Every training day counts."

On the Days When the Bed Feels Too Comfortable…

Dev admits there are days when he doesn’t feel like running. But on those mornings, he reminds himself why he started. For him, running isn’t about medals or stats — it’s about showing up for himself. It’s the quiet discipline of choosing movement when your mind says stop.

From an Expo Encounter to a Trusted Companion: How Sorgen Became Part of His Journey

Dev first discovered Sorgen compression at the Tata Mumbai Marathon Expo. He gave it a try during a race shortly after — and instantly felt the difference. What stood out? “Sorgen feels different. It gives me a unique kind of compression support.” Now, it's part of his regular gear — not just on race day, but during tough training weeks too.

Starting Out? Dev Has One Golden Rule — Go Easy, Go Far

Dev’s advice for beginners is refreshingly simple: “Take it easy at the start. Don’t rush into long distances.” He believes too many runners burn out because they push too hard too soon. For him, sustainable progress matters more than overnight performance.

His Dream? Representing India on the International Stage

It wasn’t something he planned from the beginning. But now that the journey has taken him this far, Dev dares to dream big. His ultimate goal? To represent India internationally. Not just as a runner, but as someone who’s built every step on discipline, effort, and heart.

If Not a Runner… Then What?

Ask him who he’d be without running, and Dev pauses. “Honestly, I don’t know.” And that says it all. Running isn’t just what he does — it’s who he is.

"Meditation gave my running depth"

One of Dev’s most powerful tools? Meditation. It's helped him stay grounded, recover faster, and stay mentally sharp through every phase. While many runners focus only on the body, Dev reminds us that the mind needs training too.
