Sravan Dwibhashyam – The Sprinter Who Found His Ultra

Sravan Dwibhashyam – The Sprinter Who Found His Ultra

“Why don’t you just run fast and finish?”
That was the question that changed Sravan Dwibhashyam’s life.

Back in 2010, Sravan was a sprinter. Speed was his thrill, his strength, his way of moving through the world. But one day, while out for a run, he noticed a group of people doing something strange: running slowly… for hours. Confused but curious, he asked them why they weren’t just picking up the pace and finishing sooner.

What he got back was not just an answer — it was an invitation into a new world.

From Sprinter to UltraMarathoner

That moment flipped a switch. The idea that running could be about endurance, patience, and pacing, not just speed, opened a new chapter. Slowly but surely, Sravan left behind the explosive world of sprints and began building the quiet, powerful discipline of distance running.

Today, he’s an UltraMarathoner, a running coach, and a relentless believer in growth — not just in miles, but in mindset.

The Discipline of Distance

Sravan’s weekly routine is lean and purposeful:
Three runs a week — one easy, one interval or hill-focused, and one long run. Simple, but not easy.

What ties it all together is his core belief:
“Running is all about time management. The better you plan, the greater your runs will be.”

It’s not about squeezing running into life — it’s about shaping life around the run. Every week, every mile, every decision is anchored in this mindful planning.

No Turning Back

Like any long-distance runner, Sravan’s journey hasn’t been free of setbacks. But he meets each challenge with a learner’s heart.

“Every day, every run, every race — I treat it like the first time. I tell myself, ‘Today I’m going to learn something new.’ That’s it. No turning back.”

That mindset is what carries him through the rough days — the cold mornings, the sore legs, the times when bed feels more inviting than asphalt. It’s not motivation he relies on. It’s purpose. It’s process. It’s presence.

Running with Purpose, Recovering with Care

One of Sravan’s first encounters with Sorgen came at the Hyderabad Marathon Expo. Tired from hours of standing, he slipped on a pair of Sorgen compression socks.

And just like that — instant relief.

“When I was volunteering, I made sure I wore them. They kept my legs so relaxed. Later, I tried them during a long run and... damn — no soreness. It felt like the socks were hugging my calves like a baby.”

Today, Sorgen is part of his long-run and recovery rituals. Not as a luxury, but as a necessity. Something that supports the kind of training that pushes him — and his runners — toward their goals.

Coach. Volunteer. Dreamer. Doer.

Sravan doesn’t just run for himself. He coaches, volunteers, guides. He shares his knowledge generously and recommends tools — like Sorgen — that he’s personally benefited from.

His dream?
To conquer the 100-mile Hell Ultra Race — a beast of a challenge, both mentally and physically.

But he doesn’t just chase medals. He chases meaning. “Bhaag Milkha Bhaag,” he says. “Life is all about running and moving forward… leading to success.”

Sravan’s Advice to New Runners

If you’re just starting out, Sravan has one core message:
Be patient. Plan well. Learn with every step.

Don’t run to compete. Run to grow. Run to know yourself.

The Final Stretch

Sravan’s story is a reminder that sometimes, a single question — a moment of curiosity — can shift the entire direction of your life. From a schoolyard sprinter to an ultramarathon coach, Sravan runs not to escape, but to arrive — at clarity, discipline, and growth.
