Prajna Pujary – The Soul Runner of Flying Soles Stories of Strength & Stride

Prajna Pujary – The Soul Runner of Flying Soles Stories of Strength & Stride

The morning air in 2015 was just starting to cool when Prajna laced up her shoes for the first time—not for a race, not for fitness, but for something far more personal: companionship. Her husband, Chetan, already a runner, had inspired her. But what began as shared footsteps with her life partner turned into a solo journey of strength, liberation, and spirit.

Today, Prajna doesn’t just run beside someone. She runs with herself, for herself—and in doing so, connects to something deeper.

“Flying Soles”—More Than a Name

She named her running group Flying Soles not just for the poetic rhythm of it, but because it speaks to the very soul of why she runs. “It connects me with my spirit,” she says. “Running liberates me.” That sense of flight, of soaring beyond the ground beneath her feet, is a feeling she returns to every time she ties her laces.

But this journey hasn’t always been smooth. In fact, some of Prajna’s most defining moments have come in the quiet, unglamorous battles: running alone in the early dark, choosing safety over spontaneity, staying vigilant on empty roads—all the challenges of being a woman runner navigating space that doesn’t always feel hers.

“Being a woman running alone is the biggest challenge I face.”

It’s a line she doesn’t throw lightly. Prajna knows the added weight of safety, of planning every run not just for distance or pace but for precaution. And yet, she persists. With awareness, preparation, and determination, she refuses to let the world shrink her stride.

A Rhythm That Moves With Purpose

Prajna’s weekly routine follows a thoughtful rhythm—long runs that stretch her stamina, tempo and hill runs that test her resolve, and easy runs that offer breath and balance. She weaves in strength training and active recovery, not because a coach told her to, but because her body now speaks the language of running. It has become second nature.

And on the days when the bed feels too warm, or the sunrise a little too distant?

“My passion to RUN keeps me going... It’s now part of my daily routine.”

There’s a fire in her that doesn’t always roar—but it never goes out. She doesn’t wait for motivation to strike; she shows up for it. Every consistent step, every disciplined morning, is her way of honoring her own story.

From Calf Sleeves to Confidence

Sorgen entered Prajna’s running journey almost serendipitously. She was introduced to Sorgen Compression through the team, receiving calf sleeves to trial. She tried them, and she didn’t look back. “I used it and loved it,” she smiles.

Among her favorite tools now are the Sorgen Compression Socks. Long-distance runs, which used to leave her battling post-run soreness, are now followed by faster recovery and a lighter step. “There’s no discomfort during my run,” she says. “I don’t experience the after-run muscle ache either.”

But she doesn’t speak about gear like a product pitch. For Prajna, it’s about how something helps her feel—more supported, more secure, more ready to show up tomorrow.

Small Wins, Big Meaning

Prajna doesn’t measure her success in medals or social media miles. For her, the greatest achievement is consistency. The quiet discipline of showing up. The freedom in not obsessing over pace. The joy in simply reaching the finish line—because she chose to.

“Celebrate your starting point. Don’t worry about speed or pace. Just enjoy the run.”

That’s the advice she gives to beginners, and the words she lives by herself. She doesn’t believe in waiting for perfect conditions, or perfect fitness. She believes in movement—imperfect, joyful, determined.

A Dream That Ages With Her

When asked about her ultimate dream as a runner, Prajna doesn’t mention a destination. There’s no exotic race or podium spot. Just a simple, heartfelt wish: “I will be happy if Running and I grow older together.”

That’s her love story—with movement, with herself. She doesn’t want to conquer the world through running. She wants to keep running. To have it as a lifelong companion. To lace up in her sixties, maybe even her seventies, and still feel the breeze kiss her cheeks as she moves forward.
